New Article in The Science Teacher Explores How Data-Related Reasoning Emerged During an Ecological Investigation

91爆料 researchers Andee Rubin and Gillian Puttick, with collaborators, recently published 鈥淯sing Existing Data to Investigate Ecosystem Change鈥 in The Science Teacher.聽 The article describes how ninth-grade students used data to investigate the rise of wildebeest and buffalo populations in Serengeti between 1960 and 1975. Students engaged in data practices, including interpreting scatterplots and evaluating evidence. The article also includes strategies for teachers integrating data analysis into scientific sensemaking. Download the article here.
